June 2 to kick-off the proceedings as we look at the full official schedule fixtures download for T20 World Cup 2024.

We are only a month away from the 9th T20 World Cup, and most of the teams have already shared their provisional squad. It’s gonna be an epic tournament this time with as many as 20 teams participating in the tournament. This is the biggest T20 World Cup in terms of the number of teams participating, and the format is also quite unique.

Talking about the format, 20 teams are divided into 4 groups of 5 teams each. With each team playing four group stage matches, the top 2 Teams from each group will then proceed to the Super 8 stage. This is where the actual World Cup begins as the top 8 Teams will then be battling it out for 3 more matches to qualify for the Semis.

In the Super 8 stage, 4 teams will be divided into 2 groups. Each team will once again play 3 matches each, and the top 2 Teams from each group will then proceed to the Semi-finals. The Semi-finals shall be played at a gap of 1 day on June 27. Whereas the final shall be played on June 29 in Barbados.

T20 World Cup 2024 Analysis:

The T20 World Cup begins on June 2nd with USA taking on Canada in the neighborhood clash. Both belong to Group A, which also features India, Pakistan, and Ireland. Group B has England, Australia, Namibia, Oman, and Scotland. Group C has West Indies, New Zealand, Afghanistan, PNG, and Uganda. Whereas Group D has Sri Lanka, South Africa, Bangladesh, Netherlands, and Nepal.

A total of 40 Group stage matches, 12 Super 8 matches, 2 Semi-finals, and 1 Final shall be played for a period of 28 days. The USA and West Indies shall co-host the tournament. The USA shall host matches in Dallas, New York, and Florida, Whereas the West Indies shall host matches in Guyana, Barbados, Antigua, St. Lucia, and St. Vincent. The final shall feature on June 29 in Barbados, West Indies.

Talking about Team India’s squad for T20 World Cup 2024, Rohit Sharma shall lead the team with Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, and Suryakumar Yadav among the batters. Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson are the two keepers. India have four all-rounders in the form of Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, and Shivam Dube. Whereas, the bowling shall see Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Arshdeep Singh, and Mohammed Siraj.
