In this scenario, Suryakumar and Rishabh bat one position below their comfort position. So, does it make sense for India to play with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma as openers?

Well, ideally, the World Cup starts with group-stage matches where India have sufficient to experiment if they have to, If Kohli opens with Rohit Sharma, which he is also doing in IPL 2024, Suryakumar Yadav and Rishabh Pant can play in their comfortable number 3 and number 4 position. Talking about the bowlers, India will see Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav as the two leading bowlers in the side. With two more spots left, India have four options in the form of Arshdeep Singh, Axar Patel, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Mohammed Siraj. But which two will Team India choose? Well, one of Arshdeep Singh or Mohammed Siraj will definitely get a go to make it a 3-pacer side. By the looks of it, Arshdeep Singh could be the preferred pacer in the side for India.
