About Us
Built by someone who’s
run this by hand, for years.
Cricalytics Auction League didn’t start as a business plan. It started as a WhatsApp group, a shared spreadsheet, and a lot of manual work every single year.
A fan first, a platform second
Cricket fandom runs deep here: a follower of the game since 1996, and someone who’s spent roughly two decades writing analytically about it. For several years before this platform existed, that same passion ran a fantasy cricket auction league the old way: manually, over WhatsApp, one player and one bid at a time.
It worked, but barely. Tracking bids by hand, chasing people for payments, re-typing the same rosters into a spreadsheet every season: none of it scaled, and none of it felt like the real thing it was trying to recreate.
Cricalytics Auction League exists because that manual process deserved a real platform: the same live-bidding energy of a real auction, without the spreadsheet chaos behind it. What started as a tool for one group’s own league grew into something built for any group who’s ever wanted the same thing.
Simple and affordable, not accidental
Simplicity first
Every decision behind this platform gets measured against one question: does this make running an auction easier, or harder? If a feature doesn’t clearly earn its place, it doesn’t ship.
Affordable by design
A real auction experience shouldn’t be reserved for groups with a big event budget. This platform is built so a college fest committee and a large organization can both afford to run one properly.
