What we collect, why we collect it, who can see it, and the choices you have. We have written it in plain language.
Cricgasm Auction League (“CAL”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Cricgasm Technologies, a proprietorship of Adesh Kothari, 1701 Sapphire, Regency Tower, Kavesar, Thane West, Maharashtra 400615, India. For the purposes of India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, Cricgasm Technologies is the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use cal.cricgasm.com (the “Site”), including our cricket auction software for local tournaments, and how we use, share and protect it.
By creating an account or using the Site, you agree to this policy. Please read it together with our Terms and Conditions and Refund and Cancellation Policy. “Personal data” means any data about an identifiable individual.
We use your personal data only for these purposes. We do not use it to build advertising profiles.
We process your personal data with your consent, which you give when you register and accept this policy, and where the law allows for other lawful purposes, such as meeting legal obligations. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see section 9), as easily as you gave it. If you withdraw it, we may no longer be able to provide parts of the service, and withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before it.
CAL is a shared experience, so some of what you do is visible to others. Your team name, team logo, bids, purchased players, squad, points and chat messages can be seen by other participants. Depending on the league type and settings, auction rooms, trackers, standings and player lists can also be viewed by visitors who are not logged in. If you prefer privacy, choose a team name that does not reveal your real name.
When you join a league, its organizer can see your name, email, mobile number and team details so they can run that league. Organizers must use this information only for that purpose.
We share only the data each provider needs to do its job for us:
We may disclose information when the law requires it, to respond to lawful requests from authorities, to protect the rights and safety of CAL and its users, or as part of a sale or restructuring of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop you from logging in. Some auctions are streamed on YouTube by organizers, and YouTube and WhatsApp apply their own cookies and policies when you use them.
We keep your information while your account is active and as long as needed to provide league history, results and receipts. When you ask us to delete your account, or once the purpose we collected it for is over, we delete or anonymise your personal data. The exception is information the law requires us to keep: payment, refund and tax records are kept for as long as tax and accounting laws require, even after your account is closed. Bank details given for a refund are deleted once the refund is complete and recorded. Copies in our backups are removed as the backups are replaced on a regular cycle.
No system is perfectly secure. If a personal data breach affects you, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:
To use any of these rights, email support@cricgasm.com from the address registered on your account. We may ask you to confirm your identity first. We aim to acknowledge your request within 24 hours and resolve it within 15 days, and in any case within the maximum period the law allows.
CAL is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18, and we may ask you to confirm your age. If you believe a child has created an account, please tell us at support@cricgasm.com and we will delete it.
The Site and its data are hosted with Bigrock on servers in India. Some of the providers we use, such as Google (for analytics and fonts) and our email delivery provider, may process limited data on servers outside India. We choose providers that apply appropriate security safeguards, and we follow the rules that apply to transfers of personal data outside India.
An organizer who adds information about other people, such as the names, skills, ages or photos of players, decides why and how that information is used in their league. We process it to provide the service. Organizers confirm that they have the right to add this information and, where the law requires, the person’s consent. If your information was added to a league without your consent, contact us and we will act on it.
The Site links to services we do not control, such as WhatsApp, YouTube and our payment gateway. Their privacy practices are their own, so please read their policies.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. If we make a significant change, we will tell you by email or with a notice on the Site.
For any question, request or complaint about your personal data, please contact our Grievance Officer:
We aim to acknowledge every complaint within 24 hours and resolve it within 15 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India, as provided by law. You can also reach us through the Contact page.
