IPL 2024: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) Full New Squad Players List

If there was a synonym for consistency in the Indian Premier League, it would be very close to the Chennai Super Kings. Irrespective of their performance in the tournament, MS Dhoni and Team management have always believed in backing their players, and keeping a consistent squad.

Having won the IPL Trophy last year, the CSK team was bound to retain most of the players for IPL 2024, and they did that. Having retained almost 19 players in the Auction, the only good players they had to let go were Ben Stokes, who opted out, and Ambati Rayudu, who retired from IPL.

With these two players gone, CSK bought some really solid players in the Auction like Daryl Mitchell, Rachin Ravindra, etc., that only strengthen their squad. Batters – Ajinkya Rahane, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Sameer Rizvi & Shaik Rasheed 

When we talk about the batters that CSK have, there is Ruturaj Gaikwad andAjinkya Rahane as their top two and solid batters. These two are most likely to play all the matches. In addition, CSK have Sameer Rizvi and Shaikh Rasheed as two good backups in the squad. Eyes will also be on exciting talent Sameer Rizvi, who might consider himself lucky to be playing under MS Dhoni. 

WKs – Avanish Aravelly, Devon Conway (f) & MS Dhoni (c)

For the wicket-keepers, CSK have captain MS Dhoni and opener Devon Conway as the two best wicket-keepers in the side with Avanish Aravelly as the good backup option. However, the latest developments show that Devon Conway will miss almost 80-90% of the tournament due to surgery

The team currently has Deepak Chahar, Shardul Thakur, Matheesha Mathirana, and Mustafizur Rahman among quality pacers and Maheesh Theekshana as a quality spinner. In terms of backups, CSK have Mukesh Choudhary, Simarjeet Singh, Rajvardhan Hangargekar, and Tushar Deshpande among quality backup pacers, and Prashant Solanki as the backup spinner.
