After a thorough planning, the BCCI has categorically mentioned that any Indian player who hasn’t played for the Indian team in the last 5 years will be categorized as an uncapped player for IPL 2025. The news has come as a big boost to a few teams, and especially CSK, who retained Dhoni as an uncapped player.

The 2025 edition of the Indian Premier League will see many quality uncapped players participating in the tournament.
