IPL 2025 All 10 Teams Exclusive First-choice Wicket keeper List

Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants with maximum names in our official wicket-keeper list for all 10 teams for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. 

Wicket-keepers are the backbone of any team in the Indian Premier League, and the latest edition of the tournament, IPL 2025 will witness a total of 29 wicket-keepers participating in the tournament. While there are 12 Overseas wicket-keepers participating in the tournament, there are 17 Indian wicket-keepers also playing the tournament. Of the 29 names, we have almost 10 uncapped wicket-keepers for IPL 2025. 

Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants have the most, 4 wicket-keepers in the side. Whereas Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and Sunrisers Hyderabad have the least 2 wicket-keepers in the side for IPL 2025. So, with the official names in front of us, let’s look at the complete final wicket-keeper list and the first-choice options for each team for IPL 2025.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK)

Total Wicket-keepers: 3 // First-choice Wicket-keeper: MS Dhoni

Chennai Super Kings have three wicket-keepers in the side in the form of Devon Conway, MS Dhoni, and Vansh Bedi. Given the quality surrounding Devon Conway and MS Dhoni, expect both to feature in the playing 11 with MS Dhoni donning the wicket-keeping duties.

Expect Delhi Capitals to play Abhishek Porel, KL Rahul, and Tristan Stubbs in the starting 11 with KL Rahul mostly donning the wicket-keeping duties if not Abhishel Porel. 

Gujarat Titans (GT)

Total Wicket-keepers: 3 // First-choice Wicket-keeper: Jos Buttler

Gujarat Titans have three wicket-keepers in the side in the form of Anuj Rawat, Jos Buttler, and Kumar Khushagra. Of the three, Jos Buttler should mostly donn the wicket-keeping duties. In his absence, Anuj Rawat should take the gloves, and Kumar Khushagra should play the role of a backup keeper.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)

Mumbai Indians have three wicket-keepers in the side in the form of Robin Minz, Ryan Rickleton, and Shrijith Krishnan. The team has Ryan Rickleton as their best wicket-keeper, but in all likelihood, we should see Robin Minz donning the wicket-keeping duties due to Overseas players’ restrictions. 

Punjab Kings (PBKS)

Punjab Kings have three wicket-keepers in the side in the form of Josh Inglis, Prabsimran Singh, and Vishnu Vinod. While Josh Inglis is the best wicket-keeper in the side, it looks unlikely he will play in the first-choice 11 given the Overseas players’ restrictions. Hence, expect Prabsimran Singh to keep wickets, and Vishnu Vinod and Josh Inglis to play as a backup.

Rajasthan Royals (RR)

Rajasthan Royals have three wicket-keepers in the side in the form of Dhruv Jurel, Sanju Samson, and Kunal Rathore. Of the three, Dhruv Jurel and Sanju Samson should be a part of the starting 11, and Kunal Rathore should play as a backup. Also, like last time, Sanju Samson should keep wickets to have better visibility of the game. 

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB)

Total Wicket-keepers: 2 // First-choice Wicket-keeper: Jitesh Sharma

Royal Challengers Bengaluru invested in two quality wicket-keepers, Jitesh Sharma and Phil Salt. Both are quality options in the side, and both will feature in the playing 11. While Phil Salt will open, Jitesh Sharma will play as a finisher. Overall, expect Jitesh Sharma to keep wickets in the tournament. 

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)

Total Wicket-keepers: 2 // First-choice Wicket-keeper: Ishan Kishan

Sunrisers Hyderabad have only two wicket-keepers in the side, Ishan Kishan and Heinrich Klaasen. Given both are excellent wicket-keepers, we can expect Sunrisers Hyderabad to play both with Ishan Kishan donning the wicket-keeping duties.
