IPL 2024: The Latest Strongest Playing 11 – All 10 Teams
Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders looking good as we look at the latest strongest playing 11 for all 10 teams for IPL 2024.
The IPL 2024 is currently shaping up nicely with more than 20 matches already completed. KKR, RR, and CSK are leading the points table with RCB and DC at the bottom of the points table. If we look at the current points table, teams that have a settled playing 11 combination are doing pretty well, and the teams that are still struggling with their playing 11 are strangling at the bottom of the points table.
Even as the top-placed teams have a settled playing 11 combination, there is still a good scope for improvement in these teams. However, the main focus of this article will be the bottom-placed teams. It will be great to analyze their current playing 11, and how and which players they can add or replace in the current setup. So, let’s look at the latest strongest playing 11 for all 10 teams for IPL 2024.
IPL 2024 All 10 Teams Latest Strongest Playing 11
IPL 2024 Strongest Playing 11 for Rajasthan Royals (RR)
- Jos Buttler
- Yashasvi Jaiswal
- Sanju Samson (c&wk)
- Riyan Parag
- Shimron Hetmyer
- Dhruv Jurel
- Shubham Dube
- Ravichandran Ashwin
- Avesh Khan
- Trent Boult
- Yuzvendra Chahal
- Nandre Burger (i)
The Rajasthan Royals team take pride in sticking to almost the same playing 11 in all matches of IPL 2024 so far. The fact that they are winning has significantly got to do with their strategy of persisting with a similar team combination. Currently, for RR, the top 6 batters are fixed with Shubham Dube and Ravichandran Ashwin being the lower-order. The bowling seems far better this time with Boult and Burger combo leading the attack in the powerplay.
IPL 2024 Strongest Playing 11 for Gujarat Titans (GT)
- Shubman Gill (c)
- Sai Sudharsan
- BR Sharath
- David Miller
- Abhinav Manohar
- Shahrukh Khan
- Rahul Tewatia
- Rashid Khan
- Umesh Yadav
- Noor Ahmad
- Spencer Johnson
- Mohit Sharma (i)
Gujarat Titans have seen a change in their batting-order with Shubman Gill now opening with Sai Sudharsan. With Saha not there, BR Sharath seems to be their preferred keeper now. While David Miller is out due to injury, he should replace Kane Williamson once he is back. But the two important chances that GT should do is to get Shahrukh Khan and Abhinav Manohar in the side in place of Vijay Shankar and Darshan Nalkande. The rest of the bowling should rely on Umesh Yadav, Rashid, Spencer, Noor, and Mohit.
IPL 2024 Strongest Playing 11 for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)
- Travis Head
- Abhishek Sharma
- Nitish Reddy
- Aiden Markram
- Heinrich Klaasen (wk)
- Abdul Samad
- Shahbaz Ahmed
- Pat Cummins (c)
- Bhuvneshwar Kumar
- T Natarajan
- Jaydev Unadkat
- Mayank Markande (i)
Sunrisers Hyderabad are yet to find their ideal batting combination. While their bowing seems to be sorted with Cummins, Bhuvi, Natarajan, Unadkat, and Markande, the batting is still not so dependable. But seeing the current prospects, Head and Abhishek are good openers to have. With Nitish being a new rising star at number 3, Markram and Klaasen bring stability at 4 and 5 respectively. Finally, Abdul Samad and Shahbaz Ahmed seem to be great finishers to have alongside Klaasen.
IPL 2024 Strongest Playing 11 for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG)
- KL Rahul (c)
- Quinton de Kock (wk)
- Devdutt Padikkal
- Nicholas Pooran
- Marcus Stoinis
- Ayush Badoni
- Krunal Pandya
- Ravi Bishnoi
- Mohsin Khan
- Naveen ul-haq
- Mayank Yadav
- Yash Thakur
The Lucknow Super Giants are one of the few teams to have a settled batting-order in the competition. With solid batting till 7, the team has found good ammo in the bowling in the form of Mayank Yadav. With Mayank in, LSG have a great bowling lineup of 4 pacers and 2 spinners in the squad. Overall, LSG look solid if they continue with this performance as even after having an inexperienced bowling lineup, they can do pretty well.
IPL 2024 Strongest Playing 11 for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB)
- Faf du Plessis (c)
- Cameron Green
- Virat Kohli
- Rajat Patidar
- Glenn Maxwell
- Saurabh Chauhan
- Dinesh Karthik (wk)
- Mahipal Lomror
- Reece Tolpey
- Mohammed Siraj
- Yash Dayal
- Vyshak Vijaykumar (i)
Another year, and another Royal Challengers Bengaluru team strategy goof up. By letting Cameron Green play at 4-5, the team is wasting a quality player. What RCB need to do if they actually plan to win the tournament is let Faf Du Plessis open with Cameron Green, and let Virat Kohli play at number 3 position. This seems to be the most ideal batting lineup for them. They also need to accommodate Mahipal Lomror in this lineup to strengthen the lower-order. But more importantly, RCB need their below-par bowlers to step up.
IPL 2024 Strongest Playing 11 for Punjab Kings (PBKS)
- Shikhar Dhawan (c)
- Rille Rossouw
- Prabsimran Singh
- Liam Livingstone
- Jitesh Sharma (wk)
- Sam Curran
- Shashank Singh
- Ashutosh Sharma
- Harpreet Brar
- Harshal Patel
- Kagiso Rabada
- Arshdeep Singh (i)
Punjab Kings with their weaker batting lineup seems to have picked up their batting ammo with in-form finishers like Ashutosh Sharma and Shashank Singh. Both play with a lot of confidence, and are doing pretty well at the moment. With these two, Liam Livingstone should be back for Sikandar Raza, and Rille Rossuow should replace the out-of-form Jonny Bairstow. Overall with this setup, PBKS have a great team to knock on the Playoffs doors.
IPL 2024 Strongest Playing 11 for Delhi Capitals (DC):
- David Warner
- Prithvi Shaw
- Mitchell Marsh
- Rishabh Pant (c)
- Tristan Stubbs
- Axar Patel
- Kumar Khushagra (wk)
- Lalit Yadav
- Kuldeep Yadav
- Anrich Nortje
- Khaleel Ahmed
- Mukesh Kumar (i)
Delhi Capitals are currently struggling as a team, and the major reason for that is their bowling. With Kuldeep Yadav and Mukesh Kumar still to recover, Delhi Capitals’ bowling lineup seems to be in jitters at the moment. They have to persist with this lineup, but overall, there are two positions where the team is struggling, and that’s Kumar Khushagra vs Abhishek Porel and a good substitute for Lalit Yadav.
IPL 2024 Strongest Playing 11 for Chennai Super Kings (CSK):
- Ruturaj Gaikwad (c)
- Rachin Ravindra
- Ajinkya Rahane
- Daryl Mitchell
- Shivam Dube
- Ravindra Jadeja
- Sameer Rizvi
- MS Dhoni (wk)
- Deepak Chahar
- Matheeasha Pathirana
- Mustafizur Rahman
- Tushar Deshpande (i)
If there is one team that seldom makes any changes in the playing 11, it is the Chennai Super Kings. They have one problem for all solutions, and that is backing their strategy and players to the core. The team has a settled combination of quality players for each phase. So, be it Rachin and Ruturaj as openers, Shivam Dube and Daryl Mitchell in the middle-order, or Jadeja and Dhoni as finishers. In addition, the bowling seems lethal with two overseas pacers, Pathirana and Mustifizur Rahman leading the charge.
IPL 2024 Strongest Playing 11 for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR):
- Phil Salt (wk)
- Sunil Narine
- Venkatesh Iyer
- Nitish Rana
- Shreyas Iyer (c)
- Rinku Singh
- Andre Russell
- Angkrish Raghuvanshi
- Mitchell Starc
- Harshit Rana
- Varun Chakravarthy
- Vaibhav Arora (i)
The KKR team revamped their batting lineup for 2024, and it seems to be working great for the Gautam Gambhir army. The strategy of opening with Sunil Narine which worked 5 years back seems to be working perfectly in 2024 as well. With Narine’s blast at the top alongside Phil Salt, and a firing Andre Russell as a finisher, KKR have found a great setup to explore against all teams. In addition, the bowling is also doing pretty well for KKR with youngsters like Harshit Rana and Vaibhav Arora performing well.
IPL 2024 Strongest Playing 11 for Mumbai Indians (MI):
- Rohit Sharma
- Ishan Kishan (wk)
- Tilak Varma
- Suryakumar Yadav
- Hardik Pandya (c)
- Tim David
- Romario Shephard
- Mohammad Nabi
- Gerald Coetzee
- Jasprit Bumrah
- Akash Madhwal
- Piyush Chawla (i)
The return of Suryakumar Yadav seems to have made a significant positive impact in the Mumbai Indians’ lineup already. With SKY at 3, MI’s batting lineup looks pretty solid great batting depth until number 8. Moreover, with Shephard and Nabi added, MI have a total of 7 bowlers to rely on including Hardik Pandya, who currently isn’t bowling. Overall, it looks only upward for the MI team from here.
